Located in northern Hillsborough County, the Lake Bridge Water Treatment Plant trims and adjusts the water quality of 8-13 million gallons of water per day (mgd) from the regional pipeline before it’s delivered to Pasco County’s water system. It also treats an average of 11.2 mgd of groundwater from the Cypress Bridge Wellfield. The plant has been operating since 2009.
This project will install an additional pump at the Lake Bridge Water Treatment Plant, which will increase the pump station’s capacity from 17.5 mgd to approximately 26 mgd.
This project will provide redundancy and increase the plant’s pumping capacity to support the rising water demand at Pasco County’s easternmost point of connection.
The budget for this project is approximately $1.9 million for design and construction.
Construction will begin in December 2025 and is scheduled to be completed in early 2027.
This project has no public impact as all work is contained within Tampa Bay Water property.
